This shortfall contributes to frequent misdiagnoses and suboptimal treatment outcomes, while also obstructing progress in clinical research.

In response to these challenges, the SVP (Symptoms-Varices-Pathophysiology) instrument has been developed to enhance the classification of pelvic venous disorders by identifying and defining homogeneous patient populations. By employing the SVP instrument, clinical communication can be significantly improved, enabling more targeted treatment strategies.
